intimate portrait & boudoir
photography for people who
want to feel like themselves
A cinematic photography experience built around care & consent, guiding you through nerves and supporting creative expression without reshaping who you are.
BASED IN VERNON, BC
Serving Silver Star, Kelowna, and select locations across British Columbia
What if you were given the time to settle in and simply feel like yourself?
No pressure to be perfect or cookie-cutter experience that looks like everyone else because you are not everyone else.
You’re you, and the experience should reflect that.
That’s why I don’t rush you through it or expect you to arrive already fully confident. I guide you through it one step at a time, check in throughout our time together, and adjust based on what actually feels good for you in the moment.
“She has wonderful suggestions, makes you feel at ease during the shoot, effortlessly directs you to capture your best.
If you’re hesitating or nervous to be in front of a camera, don’t wait to book with her”
— CELINE G.
This is your moment in time, and you want to be able to look back on these images in ten years and still see yourself —
Not an outfit you were told to wear, or poses that feel not quite aligned with who you really are.
There is a feeling of trust & honouring through her process that makes being the centre of the focus easy. She was nothing but encouraging, attentive & supportive. She made me feel comfortable & respected, & adjusted as needed to fit my comfort level.
My photos are like art & have allowed me to look at myself as such & I am so thankful.
— Steph D.
Hey! I’m Lianne.
I’m the photographer you can trust to hold space for you as you bravely step in front of the camera.
I’ve been in your shoes before and know exactly how vulnerable this kind of experience can feel. The fear of being misrepresented, or feeling awkward is real.
I know the difference between a session that feels supportive and one that doesn’t.
That lived experience shapes how I guide every session I photograph.
That’s why my work is built around a calm, unpressured process.
This means no:
Rigid Timelines — The ticking clock does not exist here.
Outfit assumptions — Feel yourself, first and foremost.
Telling you what your session should look like — We are all different people, and that’s wonderful.
You want to know that the person guiding you understands how vulnerable this kind of experience can feel. You’re led through it with care, patience, and time for things to unfold naturally.
With over 15 years of experience with photographing people, (and time spent in front of the camera myself) I know how much the experience shapes how the images are remembered.
here’s why working with me is different.
I expect insecurity, and I build my process around it.
Confidence is never a prerequisite — it’s normal to feel nervous. Your very human feelings are welcome here without judgement.
Sessions aren’t rushed.
Time is built in to allow trust to form, and creative expression to unfold naturally.
Consent is part of my creative workflow, including posing and editing.
You’re guided, but you’re in control at all times. Retouching your images is always discussed, and I will never alter your body or erase your features based on assumption.
I create cinematic, atmospheric imagery with a consistent, art-led approach across genres and environments.
The work you see in my portfolio is the standard you can expect to receive. This means no surprises. You leave with art, not just pretty pictures.
“She has such a gift for capturing the real, the raw, and the beautiful with her camera while also excelling at creating a relaxed environment.
For the most human moments in your life, Lianne is the one you want looking through the lens.”
— Alexa L.
This is my philosophy— I believe every person deserves to be photographed with depth, care, and respect. The result is genuine images that feel like you.

NEXT
WE PLAN THE EXPERIENCE TOGETHER.
Once you’re booked, we take care of the details. I lead the discussion so that mood, location, timing, and wardrobe are thoughtfully planned and everything feels aligned.
THEN
You’re guided through the session.
Nerves are expected. Nothing is ever rushed. You’re supported throughout the process with clear direction, glimpses at the camera, and space to settle in as we go.
FINALLY
you choose what you keep.
We review your images together and discuss any editing notes so that you can select the ones that resonate the most. You make the final call.

Frequently Asked Questions

For most people, being in front of a camera begins exactly this way. You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose or what to do. I am here to guide you through the nerves, help you soften where needed, give clear direction for those pesky hands, and pivot as we go if something isn’t working or doesn’t feel right.
-
You’re preaching to the choir. I’m not a lingerie person either. Intimate portrait and boudoir photography does not require anything beyond you showing up as yourself. These sessions are meant to feel personal and very much like you. This means whatever you feel most like you in is a perfect choice!
-
You don’t have to figure that out alone. During the planning stage, we’ll talk through outfits together so what you wear feels aligned with your personality, comfort level, and the mood we are creating for the session. Nothing is left to guesswork.
-
That happens, and it’s totally okay. We plan for variety, and I always encourage bringing multiple options. If something isn’t feeling right at the moment, we pivot. There’s no pressure to push through, and there’s time to try out multiple outfits or return to it later on.
-
Then we pause. If something feels uncomfortable or overwhelming, we talk about it, change direction, take a break, or stop entirely. I’ll never rush you or push you into “my vision.” You don’t owe the camera anything, ever.
-
We ease into it. I start with simple poses and setups to help you settle in, and I’ll often demonstrate poses so you can see what I mean before trying yourself. This helps a lot because some poses just feel funny but photograph beautifully, and we usually end up laughing through that part together! I also show you the back of my camera as we go so you can actually see how you’re being represented. This visual reassurance is very helpful for the process and makes everything feel more collaborative rather than performative.

No. Boudoir is a state of mind, not a gendered experience. Everyone deserves to be seen and represented through photography with the same level of intention and care. While women are a large part of this space, more men, nonbinary, and queer folks are stepping into it too. Everyone is safe here, and everyone is welcome in my work.
I’m stoked you’re still here. That means something resonated for you
If you’ve been wondering whether this could be right for you, this is your invitation to ask. No pressure or expectations, you don’t even need to feel “ready” yet. Just a real conversation to see if this feels like a good fit.
